Lesson from Smudge

This is our fence thickness, It's about 1 cm. and 2.5 meter height.

Today Smudge, my neighbour's cat who live next door is going to teach me how to walk on top of the fence.

First, Smudge will show me how to.

If you notice, He walks pretty low level to balance his body, and he walks real fast ! Even mom couldn't believe her eyes.

Just a few min. He is about to reach my garage roof.

I try to catch up to him but not very easy for me " Smudge wait for me !!!! "

I forgot to low my body to keep my balance as he does.

Oh mine ! ...How he can walk that fast. Too many branches here !!

Oh O !!! I'm about to drop to another side of the fence. And the woofies live there !!!
My mom is about to scream because I dropped my back legs twice !

OMC !!! I'm about to be woofies' meal !!!

She said this lesson can make her have heart attack. She said she prefer to see me learning another lesson from Smudge. " Get a piece of newspaper " Yes, you heard it right ! Smudge 's mom told my dad " Smudge get the piece of newspaper when she threw it to him and he can bring it back to her hand like a woofy ! " My mom is dying to see him doing that. It's wicked !!!

Mr. Puddy, that's quite the lesson Smudge was teaching you! But we don't think it would be good to land on the side of the fence with the woofies. Aacckk!

LOVE that last photo, especially. What an expression you have!

I hope you learned a lesson about the fence, Puddy, but you don't need to learn to fetch like a dog.

Mr. Puddy that was a seriously close call!! I think you need to stay on your side of the fence...because it is not always greener on the other side.

Mr. Puddy, any cat that can learn to balance and walk on a fence as thin as that one is one talented meowster!

Smudge is very clever, but we think you need a few more lessons.

Oh Mr Puddy please be careful on that fence, we don't want you falling into the woofies garden. Fetch is much more fun to learn. I do that with my mousey and have taught my hoomans to throw it for me again :)xx

Mr Puddy!!!! Smudge is a seasoned fence walker!!! Me and Charlie are in AWE!!! We love that you are determined to emulate lovely Smudge!! Good for you but maybe you need to practice on the ground first and away from these lovely woofies?? Take care

Mr. Puddy, I think Smudge was trying to trick you! Maybe he wanted you to fall into your neighbor's yard. I would not trust that Smudge at all.

I think that Smudge is a little more acroCATic than you, Mr. Puddy! He must have lots of PURRactice navigating that fence.

Not all cats are equal when it comes to fences, so be careful.

My Dylan is chief fencewalker at our place. Dante can't even jump that high (he's too big and heavy), and Domino prefers to walk on the grass. Maybe you should do the same, dear.

OMC, Puddy, my brother! I am fainting in fright for you! Please be careful and don't fall off of that wall. My poor mom is beside herself with worry for you, but you know how mom's are. Mom put a note on our page because we won't be around for a week or 2 but we HAD to see what was happening in your yard. I mean, gosh! You're my brother!

OMC Puddy you have so much action and adventure going on at your house that I want to visit you sooo bad! lol

That Smudge is just showing off!

Please tell your Mom not to have a heart attack because you are smarter than Smudge and you would never let those woofies get you!!

thank you for sharing the lesson with us!

Wow, Puddy! You are The Man! You are so brave and smart.

Still, woofies, my friend, woofies. Think about it: You don't want to end up as some Dalmatian's dinner.

Oh Mr. Puddy! You are such an adventurer! My Human would be worried about me too if I was as adventurous as you. Do be careful with theese woofies, I mean they might be ok and be the type to give us felines tummy rubs...but we don't want to chance it. I think Smudge should teach you the newspaper trick, safer that way. PS: Your Mom does take the most beautiful pictures, they are always so spectacular, we are always admiring them. And we like your new banner and look to your blog also. Puddy you'z a star, that's for sure!

Mr. Puddy, are you and Smudge forming a gang? Be sure you don't follow him TOO much, in case he does naughty things!

Wow! Smudge is the master of fence walking. You've got a good teacher there, Mr. Puddy :)

Thankyou for putting little Luna on your sidebar. She is such a shy sweet kitten, we are really hoping she finds a lovely patient owner to look after her.

Mr Puddy you just need a little more practice and you'll be as good as Smudge - remember don't run on the fence until you can walk on it. If you feel a wobble coming on jump down the "no doggy" side.
luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

Mr. Smudge is a good teacher! Even though you forgot to lower your body, you walked on that fence very well. But, wow, Mr. Smudge brings newspaper? That's amazing!
