Poor thing! You will probably go down to your ideal weight quickly with or without Daddy's dressing gown ;-)

Our Buddy Bud had to go on a diet. He was almost 20 pounds and 8 years old when Pops rescued him. He was a kibble addict and it looked like the only thing he had in his life before this was eating. Now he is a fit 13 pounds. Pops switched him to wet food and that was about it. That kibble is like cat crack. We even get homemade treats now. Purrs Mr P

I bet your vet is skinny, I'd move vets and find one that likes food.

It would be good if the dressing gown made you burn fat. Our mum would be wearing half a dozen of them.

We would be happy to trade our cold weather for a little of the hot stuff right about now!

Of course, you are looking as cute as ever, Mr. Puddy! In or out of that dressing gown.

Poor Puddy! Bosco is going to mail you a fish skelly!

Our mommy , a gym rat, says you need to exercise too. What does she know?!? She can't help but give us treats when we beg! Send some of your heat our way please! Have a good week.

We're sorry your diet and weight loss is taking so long Mr Puddy, but that is the best way to go. As our spring is just around the corner hopefully fall and cool weather is for you.

Mr. Puddy, I can so relate. The mom has me on a diet too...and I haven't lost any weight and I'm starving all the time! Argh!

Mr. Puddy, I hope you do not hate me for saying this, but it is a GOOD THING you are losing weight slowly! When a kitty loses weight too fast, he could get hepatic lipidosis, or fatty liver disease, so slow weight loss is healthier.

On the other hand... are you sure you aren't cadging treats from somewhere or another family? (I hope I didn't just bust you!)

What do doctors know! Eat, drink and be merry! And, in your case, turn on the AC! xxoo Bhu

Hey Mr. Puddy - how about I send you some of our cold and snow and you send us some heat. Together we will have perfect weather. ;)
Banjo says "good luck" with your weight loss. He knows how hard it is.

Vets can be so annoying! What do they know anyway? We think you are purrfect just the way you are.

We like the idea of a diet without changing anything! If it works out, let us know. MOL! Have a great week and stay cool, Puddy. xoxo

It's tough going on a diet, Puddy! Hang in there buddy! Purrs!

The Florida Furkids said...

Did that work? If it did, we'll put our Mom under a dressing gown so she can lose a few "extra" pounds :)

Our mom said if the dressing gown trick works for weight loss, then she's going out to buy one right now.

My mum is sick of the diet too, and like you my weight always stays about the same and never goes down.

We think as long as you are healthy, and able to move easily and active, you are fine.
I used to be on Royal Canin Urinary S/O and I put on quite a big of weight too. When Mommy switched me to home cook and canned, with grain free kibbles for breakfast, I am now at my ideal weight. :)

Your sauna idea is brilliant. Might as well use the heat and your dad's silliness to your advantage.

Pretinha said...

Do not be discouraged dear Puddy, you may need to exercise more and continue with sauna hehe. Here also it is summer.

Keisha said...

Naps is good. I just nap on the floor sometimes. I go to the blankie if it's cold.

Layla ( Cat Wisdom 101) said...

We dream of saunas. It's so cold today in New York you'd lose weight by just stepping outside! My chilly poem about winter was on Sunday.
