MAX, The ManCat who never went to see the VET

( Max & My dad 2014 )

This is Max. He used to be my dad's cat before my dad met my mom ( 15 years ago ). Dad said he is about 21 years old right now. He lives with my daddy's old friend. His life style is quiet similar to me. He is an indoor/outdoor kitty. He can go anywhere as he want and come home when he really want to. He is well known as a king of Raleigh St.( somewhere in Melbourne, Australia ). No other cats dare in his backyard even he is pretty small. ( Well,..by my standard...MOL )

( Max in his kitchen 2014)

His human feed him can food & dry food twice a day but general his human said Max eats everything even Pasta and believe it or not ? he has never have to go to the VET in his life ! He is amazing healthy and live long till now. Who know he is probably going to be one of the world's oldest kitties !

( Max 2013 )

Every Pawrents wish we kitties can live long and healthy like Max. or Other world's oldest living cats.
In these day, All informations about " how to keep us kitty healthy " is so many...

But what is da menu, your pawrents feed you ?

Please feel free to share with me.

What a cat ! Arthur also eats everything he can steal, even cakes ! Fortunately I had to go very seldom to the vet. Maybe twice and with Kim never.

Wow! Max is very imPURRessive!!! He looks so healthy! Our Sam is 20 & has only been to the vet to be spayed. But she has arthritis or rheumatism.

Wow Mr Puddy - Max's health and longevity are very impressive. I suspect that he has been fed a steady diet of prawns, don't you?

Wow, good for Max for being so healthy. Some cats do just stay nice and healthy. Must be that great air in Australia. Puddy, you and the Mom have a great day.

Wow, good genes! Or maybe NOT going to the vet did more good for him. Though we sure hope he is neutered!

Wow - what does Max do to manage to never have to visit the vet - we'd love it if he'd tell us so we didn't have to go ever again.

Max sure is one special guy...and lucky to avoid the vet! My kitties share a can of food every day along with some dry food...they also get chicken when I cook it (not often) and will chase me around the house trying to get my cereal bowl for the milk...I have to stand up and eat it...have a purrfect day Puddy...

That is amazing- I hope he has many more healthy years. I do want to know if he gets flea preventative and dewormer?

My "grandpa´s" cat Gustav is about 18-19 years old and have only been to the vet once or twice in his life , that isn´t bad either :)

Me I have free amount of cibbles and wetfood twice a day. I eat Royal Canin Maine Coon cibbles and Royal Canin wet food in sauce.

XOXO

We eat Evo grain free dry and wet cat food. Our Mama leaves the dry kibble out all day and we get the wet food in the mornings.

Max has the cutest heart shaped nose! We hope he lives for many more years to come! :)

prior to living with the boyz I used to live with my own Mr. Max who kind of looks similar to your dad's max. My boyz eat nothing but dry food and I know that's not good. I'm going to try to add more meat and wet food to their diets...

Max looks like such a great cat!

We are fed a combination of wet and dry food. Tama and Da Beebs love raw meat so they occasionally get beef or veal (never raw pork or chicken. We sometimes get cooked pork, chicken or fish as a treat. We also like plain yoghurt.

OH Max, you look SO very VERY good. Blessing to you dear kitty.

Dat's impressive, but M thinks a kitty should go to the vet now and then anyway just to check on things - once a year or at least once every 2 years. I'm still on my diet so I eat Hills Advanced Metabalic Cat Food. It's really good, but sometimes I get tired of it. I only have .75 to lose yet. I'm happy I finally saw a post of your's pal - I've been missing so many.

Max looks good and very healthy for his age. I wish I didn't have to keep going to the vet. I am a very picky eater and have Gourmet Solitaire wet food which sometimes I eat and other times I think mum is trying to poison me.

Max you are the King!! Goodonya mate!!

Mum feeds me wet food from Purina and kibble from Science Plan for older cats MOL

That is very impressive. Our mom feeds us both kibbles and wet food. We like Whiskers the best.

Hi Mr. Puddy! We eat wet Fancy Feast and dry Purina but Annie is supposed to be eating a prescription diet but she doesn't like it.

The lady admits to being jealous. All her kitties have had chronic problems in their later years such as cancer or CRF. Max is very lucky and we're all very happy for him and his owner!

Is Max OK? It sounded like he might not be. TW never likes taking cats to the vet cos she thinks the stress takes years off their lives. I’m sure I’ll have to go next month cos they’ve been taking me. Sigh. I eat a lot cos I’m active and I don’t drink water. I get 90% can/wet food and have some crunchies during the night.

Max is truly a lucky and BLESSED kitty! Never going to the vet? Eating anything? This reminds me of what my Angel Bobo's vet once told me many, many years ago. He had said that Bobo was going to live to a "ripe old age", (he did, he was 18 when he went to the Bridge which is a good age)....he ate probably the most inexpensive and NOT GOOD cat food EVER....(I didn't blog then and didn't know anything about good cat food for cats)......not mentioning the name here because I don't want to be mean.

Anyway, the Vet said that it is simply "the luck of the draw", just as it is for humans. Yes, we can take care of ourselves, eat right, etc., etc., but the Vet said that ultimately it all comes down to GENETICS....if you have good GENES....it doesn't much matter. Max obviously has GOOD GENES!

We love stories about kitties who are living a good and healthy life! Max is very handsome and we're thinking he must really be loved, too. That's part of living a long life, too.

Puddy, thanks for sharing his story!

Max is very handsome indeed. Pooh gets both wet and dry food. She sometimes steals a bite or two of the dogs food. Hugs and nose kisses
