I bought may cat visitor a mat before she disappear for 4 days, You can see it soft and fluffy. so I think she might like it.
When she first saw it, she ran away !!!! The new mat scared her. May be because it's fluffy and unusual smell. So she try to keep herself away from this new mat.
Finally, my husband try to train her to use it by rub his feet to this mat to make her get used to with the smell. And put this mat so closed to her food bowl, put some food in there and put her on top of it. It's doesn't work, she still scared ( you can see from her ears ) but food is more important than anything else ! so she stand there till she finished her food but that's all about it !

meow meow! My cats are the same too, they are curious when it comes to new toys, mats etc but they won't linger for long...I should stop getting them all these stuff but I also love to pamper my cats he he... Happy Fluffy Friday! :D
Puddy would like the mat if you season it for her. I am sure she would like it more if your smell is on that mat! :)
She will like the floofy mat eventually. You have just changed the routine...
All is due time, then you'll never get her off of it!
