What is like when you come home and see...
" Invisible Food " during the day ?
Mom said I can lick the bowl
Very funny mom. Now I look like a Stick !
( Suddenly fall down to the floor to proof my point )
See !!!
And Look ! ( see below )
What a good old day I used to have
And Now ! ( see below )
Mom, I'm hungry !!!!
Friends, I just wonder how you guys lose weight ?
How much do you weigh?
And How much your human feed you to keep you in a good shape ?
PS : I only have this special food for my urinary problem, I don't like wet food and I'm not allowed to have treats. But mom give me a snack ( a little prawn once a week )

It's tough pal. I weigh 15 pounds and the v.e.t. lady wants me at about 12! M has me on a d.i.e.t. too. I get Royal Canin food - 1/2 cup dry a day and a tablespoon of wet. That's it. I'm starving too and sit in front of my bowl. M said it breaks her heart to see me sit there. But, she wants me to live a good long time too.
D-I-E-T is a most problematic word for us kitties. Do not fear Mr. Puddy pretty soon the invisible food will turn visible Moms have hard time
with begging eyes and give a bit more.
Puddy, two of us are fatty fatcats, but since Mommy can't individually feed all of us we are allowed to stay pudgy...for now. We are getting lots of extra play lately.
xx Salem and May Ling--who are almost too big to wash their own bottoms.
I feel your pain Mr. Puddy. I was on a diet for a long time. My Dad slowly cut back on the amount of food I get. I did notice, but it wasn't all that bad.
It must be tough to be on a diet ?!
Me I´m one of thoose dreadful cat´s that can eat as much as a wan´t and still keep my weight on 4,5 - 4,7 Kilograms :)
Mr. Puddy
I'm so sorry you are on a diet...I get 1/3 cup of dry food at breakfast and before bed plus I get about 2 Tablespoons of Fancy Feast twice a day...yes Mom measures it. MOL
Thus far my weight has maintained at 11 lbs.
Do you eat 'snacks' when you are out walking about the 'hood?
Hugs madi
It's a tough life Mt Poot!! :( But you'll thank them in the end …. maybe!! I weigh 10lbs according to the scales at the V-e-t. He says it's because I am a lean mean fighting machine!!!! mol xx
Poor Puddy! I'm so sorry you have to stay on a special diet with invisible food! My Buster is an old cat, so he is furry thin. Rudy is normal size, but Sammy is a big fat cat!! He should probably lose some weight, but so far, I haven't put him on a diet. Good Luck, Puddy Boy!
Hugs, Cindy
Mr Puddy, come around to my house. I get a can of Fancy Feast every morning and every night, and I always have a bowl full of crunchies for snacks. I would be willing to share them with you!
Mr. Puddy, I have the opposite problem as you - at 5 lbs., I am a pound underweight! My human is always trying to get me to eat more. Maybe I shouldn't tell you this... but I get a bowl full of treats to eat as I want! Freeze-dried chicken, freeze-dried raw "boost" bites and Greenies - mostly healthy treats. But trust me, it is not as good as it sounds because it is kind of stressful, having my human hover over me to make sure I eat enough - and Binga hovering over me to try to steal what I don't eat! Binga and Boodie are both around 10 lbs. and my human watches their weight for them. ;-)
Actually Mr. Puddy, you should really try wet food. Domino ate only dry food for her first 11 years and then started to have digestive problems. Now all she eats is wet food and it agrees with her better.
And Dante and Dylan are losing weight because most of their diet is wet food also. Much less carbs.
I first had to forcefeed wet food to Domino (gently of course). I put it on a spoon, and pushed against her front teeth. When her mouth opened, I lifted the spoon to dump the food in, and she was forced to taste it. After only a couple of spoonfuls she was licking it out of the spoon herself. And the rest is history.
Apparently, the prevailing wisdom now is that wet food or raw food is better than dry because cats in the wild never ate dry food, of course. They can't get enough water from dry food even by drinking a lot.
Perhaps Mr. Puddy could eat more with wet food because the lean protein also produces a leaner kitty. Just a suggestion.
A mancat's gotta eat!
I know what it is to on dieet food mine friend Oscar eating now for so many years speciaal foot but hurray he likes it all! so also wet food when he eating only the (dont know at this time the word in english )What you eating- hard nibbel food.. he had afther a while still trouble but now its gonna good ...he eating both..
Poor Mr Puddy! You are looking half starved. I am a tad over 8kg but it is okay because I am a big cat. Flynn is 6kg but he never stops running around and is as fit as a flea. When I went on a diet because I used to be 10.5kg, mum gradually took us off dry food and changed us to all wet food. We occasionally get a few crunchies as a treat.
Eric
This is torture, Puddy! We have an open buffet, with both dry and wet food. The only one among us who is, well, round is Sei-Chan. #1 has talked about it with our vert and she says it would be cruel to separate her so she can be put on a diet so, for now, things continue as normal. Genji is a complete pig and is skinny!
Purrs,
The Chans
That is not any fun at all to be on a diet. Some of us have to be on a diet too but like the Katnip kitties, there are so many of us, it is hard to have one on a diet. Maybe you can sneak some food. Good luck Puddy.Do you want us to send you some goodie??
I can tell you are getting skinny! Harley weighs 12 pounds and I weigh about 7.
Puddy, you look svelte to us! Our mommy's a BIG pushover so we get lots of food. We maintain our weight by patrolling the outdoors.
Mr Puddy!! You are wasting away!! LOL! Awwww! But you are doing ever so well with your diet - well done you!! We think you prawn as treats is a great thing for you!! Take care
x
Pobre Puddy, mas é o melhor para sua saúde.
Poor Puddy! Its not fun to always be hungry. Our mom put us on a diet by changing to a premium food with no fillers. Its out all day so we eat as much as we like and we still lost weight.
My dear departed Chester had many urinary problems...he didn't like the special wet food he was allowed so I basically poached a chicken breast (antibiotic/hormone free) in purified water and made him chicken broth to get some extra water in to him...
also helped him exercise more by dragging some clothesline rope around the house for him to chase...he could never resist...
maybe eat some extra catnip when you are outside and you'll forget about being hungry MOL!!!
You can share my plan Puddy. Go and wake your mum up at 1am, 3am and 5am to tell her that you are hungry. Works at my house.

That sure doesn't seem like very much food. I wonder if you could have some lean chicken added to your 1/2 cup daily? Deb
Mr. Puddy, we're gonna send you a care package filled with food!!!
Michico bought this to me:
http://www.amazon.com/Catit-Design-Senses-Treat-Maze/dp/B004G9L1H2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1358733304&sr=8-2&keywords=cat+it+senses
It seems work, because I will eat very slow, for I have to take the food out first, it will take times!!
You might try.
There is s video to see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRBYyaAKF74
We hate to tell you that we get "free feed" dry food. We only weigh 6 pounds and 7 pounds. We get a can of wet food each day, too. Want to come visit us?
Lindy says to tell you she is on a diet, too, and it is very difficult for her. She can't even have some of her favorite vegetables because they contain too many calories. Isn't that awful?
Love from
Kay and Lindy
I yoozed to be a skinny boy. But after I got "nootered" (shudder) I am a bit heavier. I only weighed 8.5 lbs. (not kilos)--nut now I prolly weight more like 10 lbs. or so. The Human says I feel like a ten-pound sack of litter, ha ha ha. That ONCE-A-WEEK prawn thing needs to be a LOT more often--like efurry day!!!
Poor starving Puddy! It would be great if you could find a wet food you like. We have been getting B.G. (before grain) which is pretty good stuff.
Pop says I need to go on a diet. Last time I was weighed I was just under 10 lbs. He says I'm a lot more now.
Poor Puddy! You do look like a stick on the floor. MOL! Maybe more playtime would help.
Between my 8 lb,, sedentary Miss Bella and 9lb., active Mr. Dex they eat 6 oz of wet and 3/4 cup of dry food per day. Bella eats half as much as Dex (2 oz wet, 1/4 C dry vs 4 oz wet and 1/2 C dry). No one goes hungry - there's usually some dry food left over each morning. Treats are not an every day thing, and once in a while they get something special, like a bit of stewed chicken in some broth. Bella's sensitive tummy couldn't tolerate even Royal Canin, but they both thrive on Natural Balance (wet and dry). Once in a while I switch them to other grain-free premium wet food for a few days but they both prefer NB.
Ellie and Allie are tiny (Ellie is 5lbs and Allie is 7) Raz was 8 when last weighed but he's a growing boy.
We don't like the "D" word. We hope you find a way to get enough food but stay a healthy weight.
The Florida Furkids
Oh Puddy dear friend...take long naps, so you can forget for a while the food! :)
Luna
Your friend Frasse is cute and I also love the recipe's book!
How nice to have good friends like that!
purrs and love

Puddy - I have some info. about cat diets that you could use to get back some of the food that has been stolen from you by this foolish diet stuff, My vet told my Mom that I was a little obese (FAT). They demanded I lose weight, but Vet said you gotta be very slow in decreasing the foods or fat kitties (not me) could die from PANCREATITUS (miserable death). Vet said FAT CATS must have food slowly decreased and had to get me weighed in every couple weeks. Guess some idiots took too much food away too fast & poor fat cats died. Of course your Mom is not an idiot and is giving you exactly what the Vet recommended. Too bad, I almost thought I could get you a little more food back in your bowl.
You are very lucky guy to get shrimps as a treat. We loves shrimps - SLURPY GOOD, hold the cocktail sauce for us cats.
Boomer is the biggest kitty in our family at 6.1kg. Mommy doesn't reduce our food too much (as it can cause medical problems) but increases our playtime. Especially ones where we have to run and jump. :)
Exercise is a good way to lose weight!
PS/ Tutu wants to know more about her "twin", MeeJung!
Oh so sorry that you're on the food restriction........ Bugsy is on a sorta diet. It seems that HH noticed that Bugsy was getting bigger and Knuckles getting smaller.... hence she surmised that Bugsy was eating Knuckles' food... Now she sits between them when they eat and each gets an equal share.... Food is hard...
We sympathize...
hugs, Max, Bugsy and Knuckles
Oh no Mr Puddy not a diet - one little prawn a week seems rather mean - does your Mom nom the rest?
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Theo often spends time licking the empty dinner dishes long after the food has disappeared (been gobbled up). It's a very sad sight.
Poor Mr. Puddy! We are always on a diet here, too. When Sammy came to live here 6 years ago, he weighed nearly 20 pounds. Now he weighs about 13. Some of it is because he is older now, but much of it because he ate low-calorie/high protein food, and measured amounts of it.
Puddy boy,
Oh wow! How cruel! Am blessed with a svelte body....you know this traffic stopping body of mine. But it's all for your own good, Puddy. The hoomans have this saying: be cruel to be kind. Ae you still not aloowed out? At least you can supplement your diet with birdies. purrr...meow!
Oh harsh!
I too am blessed wiv a svelte body weighing just 8lb. Alfie is a porky 10lb! Tee hee. The vet says we don't need to diet.
Milo xx
I always run around like a crazy cat and I'm still youngish - thank goodness - cuz I would never be able to survive on that little bit of food you get. I graze all day long.
But that wasn't nice to share - while your starving to death - I'm so sorry.
Purrs,
Genghis
Poor Puddy! We are sorry to hear of your diet. Skootch has the opposite problem - he never eats enough. Plus, the kittens steal his wet fuds when they can. By the way - no offense, but you don't quite look like a stick - maybe like a fluffy sausage. We LOVE a fluffy sausage!
Also, Skootch has had urinary problems before, and he was taken off dry food (for a while).
We really do not want you to be unhealthy, but we say, "the more Puddy to hug, the better." (don't tell anyone)
I literally laughed out loud at the picture of Puddy barely hanging onto live laying on the floor because he's starving. Poor guy.
We feel for you Mr. Puddy! We are very big cats! Mama keeps us one fancy feast for each of us every day and about two tablespoons each of healthy weight dry each day.
Puddy I am too fat too. I am between 11 and 12 lbs but I am a very small boned cat. Not big boned like you.
I am allowed 1/3 of a can of cat food twice a day and then 1/4 cup of dry kibble (but Mom cheats and gives me a little more than a 1/4 cup)
Love Cody
We have cut Malou and Levon's food in half too Puddy! Levon would eat all day if he could and Malou just seems to gain weight more easily. LP is strict about treats but we do all get both wet and dry food daily and our dry food is out all the time so we can graze. Esme eats as much as Levon but is tiny at four pounds.Levon weighs ten pounds.
We know diets are hard Puddy but you do want to stay healthy and lean so that you are around for a LONG time so hang in there! :)
the critters in the cottage xo
I can send you my little sister if you wish, she will eat half your food, hence quickly helping you lose weight. That's how I lose weight.
Purrs
Poor sweet Puddy, Mom feeds me low protien fuds for my kidneys and I lose weight.
xoxo Kassey
